The challenge
Kaplan represents many institutions and hundreds of programmes. A prospective student arriving cold had to wade through all of it to find the one course that fit.
The site needed to work the way people actually choose a course: by who they are and what they want next, not by how the catalogue happens to be organised.
Personas, and a Programme Finder
We rebuilt the site around persona-based entry points, so different kinds of learner landed on a path that made sense for them. At the centre sat a multi-filter Programme Finder, letting visitors narrow by field, level and institution and reach the right programme in a few clicks rather than a long scroll.
It is a relationship that has held: Kaplan has stayed a client for more than six years.
